December’s session will be a handmade ornament exchange. Participants will learn how to craft a handmade ornament using items found in nature, and will take home five different handmade ornaments.

November’s topic will be “Fruit Trees and Tree Planting,” presented by Robert McCombs and Sam Haab of the Charleston Parks Conservancy. Each participant will take home a free tree.

Join Charleston County Public Library for a special bilingual Storytime in the garden. Bring the whole family for a joyful reading of Señorita Mariposa by Ben Gundersheimer (Mister G.) This all-ages event will take place outdoors in the lush garden of the community center, the perfect backdrop for this lively and heartwarming story.

Teammates from BeyondBASIC will complete an interactive activity at the Charleston Farms Community Center. This event is NOT open to the public. There are a limited number of volunteer opportunities to assist teammates with completing tasks throughout the activity.

Join KNCB staff and volunteers at the North Charleston Farmers Market, located under the pavilion on the grounds of the Park Circle Community Building. KNCB will share program and volunteer information along with offering various items as a fundraiser to support public gardens and garden programs in North Charleston. Items available include: flower bouquets, potpourri, and handmade items made of dried flowers. Each item is available in exchange for a donation toward KNCB’s programs!
